Nestled on the fringe of Bodmin Moor, Cardinham is a picturesque rural Cornish village known for its natural beauty. At the heart of this charming village stood St Meubred’s Cottage and Barn—two Grade 2 listed buildings that had been left derelict and in complete disrepair.
Taking on this challenge, we worked closely with our private client to breathe new life into these once-neglected structures. The project involved a complete rebuild of the cottage, ensuring that the integrity and character of the original building were preserved while incorporating modern construction techniques and high-end finishes. We also undertook a full conversion of the barn to create a stylish, habitable living space that complements the existing cottage, blending the traditional Cornish architecture with contemporary design elements.
